Web sites are touting the mind-blowing powers of salvia divinorum, come-ons to buy the hallucinogenic herb are accompanied by warnings: “Time is running out! … stock up while you still can.”
That’s because salvia is being targeted by lawmakers concerned that the inexpensive and easy-to-obtain plant could become the
next marijuana. Eight states have already placed restrictions on salvia, and 16 others, including Florida, are considering a ban or have previously.
“As soon as we make one drug illegal, kids start looking around for other drugs they can buy legally. This is just the next one,” said Florida state Rep. Mary Brandenburg, who has introduced a bill to make possession of salvia a felony punishable by up to five years in prison.
Some say legislators are overreacting to a minor problem, but no one disputes that the plant impairs judgment and the ability to drive.
Native to Mexico and still grown there,
salvia divinorum is generally smoked but can also be chewed or made into a tea and drunk. buy salvia:

  1. Salvia seems to be finding itself in the news a lot ! Hopefully, other states will NOT follow Ohio. That would be bad if you could not buy salvia legally anywhere!

  2. Great info about Salvia. I am gonna buy some salvia and smoke it and see what happens. Good, bad or indifferent! Updates to come. First I have to get the salvia leaves.

  3. This is a pretty good subject of debate. There are however, a lot of differences between savlia divinorum and marijuana. For starters saliva is legal and you can buy salvia just by clicking the link at the top !

  4. I am going to have to say that these two items are completely different. It’s like comparing apples to peanuts. Marijuana is for people that are not trying to better themselves. They just want the “high.” Salvia is a tool to enhance ones astral projection.

  5. The answer to this question is definitily no. Salvia is used to enhance an astral projection. If you watch salvia trips on you-tube then you will just see kids that are using the herb for the wrong purpose.

  6. Uh, yeah. Salvia isn’t going to be “the next marijuana” any more than DMT is. Smoking Salvia equals tripping harder than taking a double dose of LSD, albeit only for 10 minutes. No one who tries Salivia goes, “hey, I could be like this all the time.” It’s more, “Whoah. Whoah. I might do that again in a year.” This is just another case of people who don’t have any idea what they’re talking about using the same old scare tactics to ban psychoactives.
